I reached out to Kelsey after months of being under fueled and unhappy. I realized that I needed help to pull myself out of that hole and get my training (and health) where I wanted it to be. As a dietitian myself, I really wanted to work with a CSSD because I know how much work goes into that credential.
My biggest challenge prior to working together was fueling enough around a busy training and work schedule. I was absolutely guilty of drinking too much coffee, skipping snacks, and under eating in general because I was "too busy".
My biggest nutrition frustrations were my lab work and the symptoms I was having that I didn't realize were due to under fueling. I didn't understand why my labs were off when it felt like I was doing everything right. I was told that my trouble sleeping, headaches, and anxiety were just perimenopause. Kelsey was the first provider who challenged that and helped me put the whole picture together.
Success has been feeling like myself again. You don't realize how much anxiety comes with under fueling. Now I know that I'm giving my body what it needs. I feel stronger, faster, more recovered, and overall just more at peace.
Now my nutrition combines utility and enjoyment. I'm learning how to scale my nutrition for my training in practical ways that fit my life. I look forward to meal planning again and can go out to dinner with friends without feeling anxious. At almost 42, I'm running faster than ever and recovering better.
To anyone considering the program - if you could work on one aspect of your training to improve not only your performance but also your daily life, why not do it? This is not a cookie cutter meal plan. It's a collaborative process with someone who is a true expert in her field.
